Elizabeth C. Zewey, 68 years of age passed on Tuesday, Feb 4,2025 at the Miriam Hospital in RI, USA.
Elizabeth C. Zewey was born June 29, 1956 in Monrovia, Liberia to the late Kato and Chippy Garway. She had seven siblings four preceded her in death. Elizabeth married the late James H.B. Zewey in 1980. The union was blessed with 8 stepchildren and 7 biological children. Elizabeth was educated in Monrovia, Liberia, she was resilient and determined individual, she became a mother at a young age but never let that define or limit her ambitions. Balancing motherhood with her education, she worked tirelessly to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. Despite the challenges, she excelled in her studies and built a successful career, proving that her responsibilities as a parent only strengthened her resolve. Her journey is one of perseverance, dedication, and the belief that with hard work, anything is possible.
Her compassion extends beyond her professional role, as she provides both medical expertise and emotional support to those in need. At home, she is the heart of her household, raising her children with the same patience and kindness she shows at work. Her days are long, but her strength and selflessness fuel her commitment to both her family and her profession.
Elizabeth professed her life to Jesus Christ at an early age and has walked with her Lord Jesus Christ all her life. She served on several organizations religious and social, always enjoying helping others. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother and friend, always thinking of others first. “To know her was to love her”
Elizabeth leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two brothers, a sister and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her memories will forever live in our hearts and minds.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend services on Saturday, February 22nd from 9:00am – 12:00noon at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Burial will be in Liberia.
